Italian shoe brand Giuseppe Zanotti turns 20 this year, which is reason enough to celebrate – twice or maybe more 😉 The designer whose shoes are a steady pick amongst hip hop royalty including Kanye West and R&B diva Beyoncé, will release a 20-year anniversary capsule collection in December.

Earlier this year the famed designer released the first anniversary mini collection, which went by the name of ‘Jewel’. Each of the five heels tells a story, representing an iconic design from the last two decades.

September 2014, marks the release of Rock ’N’ Roll which celebrates its signature stiletto heels, via five ultra feminine designs.

GZ20th_MJMJ, is one of those designs. Inspired by Michael Jackson, the shoe which was originally created in 2002, is a strappy stiletto with silver hardware. “The pop legend has been a source of inspiration throughout my career. I worked with Michael numerous times. It was a great privilege to have known and collaborated with such an iconic star.” said Giuseppe Zanotti.

GZ20th_TraptFrom 2003, the TRAPT, is a punk inspired gladiator-boot that is ready to rock. A shoe inspired by the alternative American rock band of the same name. Its style embodies the edgy spirit of their music.

From 2008, the DECARNIN, is a chain gladiator sandal named for the iconic French designer. “Christophe [Decarnin] and I worked together for years, as we collaborated when he was designing for the house of Balmain. We share a very similar aesthetic and love of grunge-glam.

GZ20th_MuseFrom 2009, the MUSE, is a rock ‘n’ roll evening bootie drenched in black crystals. “I was listening to “Starlight” by Muse when I designed this shoe. It is named after the music that inspired it” explained Mr. Zanotti.

GZ20th_MrsWestAnd going not so far back to 2012, the MRS. WEST, is a biker inspired peep-toe bootie “created for Kim upon Kanye’s advice, while visiting my factory in San Mauro Pascoli. This is the first shoe Kanye had made for Kim, before they got married.”
