Cara Delevingne didn’t walk in the Chanel Couture show in Paris last week and naturally this set tongues wagging: why wasn’t she there?  Was Cara busy with something else? Well, for those of you placing bets on Cara Delevingne being on the outs with Chanel or Uncle Karl, you bet wrong. 😉

Last night (10.07.14) Delevingne shared on her Instagram account a first look at her starring role in the Chanel Fall 2014 Campaign framed by Karl Lagerfeld. The supermodel poses seductively in front of a mirror with a boxing ring behind her: she is absolutely stunning in a tweed multi coloured pastel jacket – draped a pearl necklace with the signature Chanel logo over her head. In her Instagram share, Cara also thanked Karl Lagerfeld, the head designer and creative director of the fashion house writing “New @chanelofficial campaign! Thank you @karllagerfeld.”

Cara-Delevingne-for-Chanel-Campaign-1Fulfilling Lagerfeld’s chic meet sporty vibe is hair stylist Sam McKnight who has created an updated version of the ‘Sporty Spice’ updo and make-up artist Tom Pecheux who enhanced Delevingne’s natural wild brows to blend in with the darker eye make.

In another photo the British ‘It Girl’ can be seen posing in the ring wearing a black dress along with a pair of white knee high boxing boots: with a collection of sneakers and jogging pants focused on athleticism, a boxing ring setting seems to be the perfect choice and Cara looks ready to take on whatever that ring has in store for her.

Delevingne stars in another picture alongside US rising star Leona Binx Walton: the pair pose together in front of a table of weights with Delevingne in a black jacket and knee high boots, and Walton in leather jogging pants and trainers.    It is not the first time that the girls have partnered up. They both feature in Balmain’s Fall 2014 Ads alongside Jourdan Dunn and Olivier Rousteing.

Done and done. I’m loving this look and can’t wait to see more. Naturally, we’ll see the full campaign in September issues due out next month.
