Meet The World’s Most Stylish Dolls
The 11th annual Exhibition of Frimousses de Créateurs is now on display at the Petit Palias in Paris. The collection of dolls designed by the fashion elite will be on display until Dec. 1 and go on auction Dec. 2 for UNICEF at the Four Seasons Hotel Georges V. Each doll is distinctively representative of the signature style of a particular fashion house. This year, 42 international designers participated in the exhibition, including Chanel, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier and Lanvin.
This year, in the 11th edition of the endeavour, 42 fashion houses have taken part – including Chanel, Dior and Lanvin, an Eiffel Tower-inspired design from Parisian lingerie designer Chantal Thomass.
The Chanel version is a representation of Coco Chanel herself wearing the label’s signature suit jacket and skirt combo in this season’s ubiquitous pink hue. Alber Elbaz’s doll wears a frou frou black and red cocktail number accessorised with miniature versions of the current logo’ed jewellery line.
With last year’s reserve price sitting at around £518 they don’t come cheap, but it’s all in a good cause: funds go to help vaccinate children in the Darfur region of Sudan.
