chrissy-candice-lilyWith World Food Day on the horizon, Michael Kors launches a timely, charitable campaign in an effort to stop world hunger.

Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel and Chrissy Teigen have united for Kors’ new charitable initative, which features campaign of the trio all wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the words ‘Watch, Hunger, Stop, #WatchHungerStop.’

The ‘watch’ element to the campaign is both metaphorical, and literal, as the American fashion giant is debuting a timepiece to raise money for the cause. The proceeds from the sales of the limited-edition watch will go starving children and help provide food for those in need. The t-shirt and the watch will be available to buy at Michael Kors stores and select outlets come October 16.

‘Learn, Share, Make a Difference’ by Michael Kors

LEARN: As part of the WATCH HUNGER STOP initiative, Michael Kors will be raising support and awareness for World Food Day on October 16.

SHARE: Supporters can pick up a free Michael Kors “Watch Hunger Stop” T-shirt at participating stores and have their photo taken, which they will receive through text to share on social networks with the hashtag #WatchHungerStop. Photos will be live-streamed to the digital billboards of Times Square and uploaded to WatchHungerStop.com/Billboard, reaching over 10 million fans.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE: Michael Kors has helped to deliver over 1 million meals to hungry children to date, and he encourages fans and leaders to join his forces. A $5 donation — the cost of a cup of coffee in New York as the designer reminds us — will feed a child for a month.

halle-berry-michael-kors-watch-hunger-stop-1-537x402Actress and fashion icon Halle Berry has teamed up with star designer Michael Kors in a battle against world hunger. The duo have designed a pair of watches for Kors’ campaign “Watch Hunger Stop.”

In July, Halle Berry traveled to Nicaragua on behalf of the organization and Michael Kors, and the trip was filmed by National Geographic. The short film will air on CNN on Oct. 16 and then live on the micro-site WatchHungerStop.com.

The sweepstakes offers the winner and a companion the chance to win a 100 Series watch and visit WFP in the field. The excursion will be documented on the brand’s social channels.

So, take to your Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to show your support, spread the word, and #WatchHungerStop with Michael Kors.
